The Egyptian Gazette was a popular newspaper company that first published its one of a kind for the Middle East English newspaper in the year 1880, and enjoyed a long tenure of success.

In discussing reoccurring issues within the Digital Egyptian Gazette, several medical conditions were mentioned, affecting the people of Egypt and beyond. The serial question I have chosen to answer is, “How did the Cattle Plague affect populations during the year of 1905?

1905 was a prosperous time for Egypt and the Egyptian Gazette has the information to prove it. The Egyptian Gazette contained a great deal of all happenings within and around Egypt.

The “Egyptian Gazette” was a newspaper printed in Alexandria, Egypt during 1905. This newspaper served many purposes. It kept its citizens up to date on current events in business and their personal lives both in Alexandria and worldwide.

Through the existence of newspapers, expressing opinions has become more acceptable and has developed over time into dedicating entire sections of the newspaper to it. These opinions formally come from the editors of the paper in the forms of editorials and the readers of the paper in the form of Letters to the Editor.

While searching for a serial question to embark on, I really wanted to be drawn to the patterns of trade or mail lines maybe even exciting expeditions. But I noticed one aspect of each issue that always caught my attention, the medical miracles.

Death is a common thing that happens to everyone but murder is an unnatural way for death to come. Murder is, unfortunately, more prevalent than society would hope. But how common was it a century ago?

For my project I have decided to look into the sports that took place in 1905. So far in my week of newspaper articles I have only read about rugby football being played in London between Wales and Scotland, but I am sure that there is more going on than just that throughout the entire year of 1905.

The Egyptian Gazette is full of so many different topics at hand and has so many interesting articles, advertisements, and financial tables. One topic that is very prevalent throughout the newspaper is disease.
